Welcome to the CYSA Girls Basketball program, where girls aged 8-12 embark on a journey of basketball mastery, teamwork, and, above all, fun! Our program focuses on instilling fundamental skills while fostering a supportive community. Greetings and welcome to the cheer family! Our organization offers a thrilling season of cheerleading, filled with exciting performances and memorable experiences.

As crowd leaders, our cheerleading team plays a crucial role in connecting fans with the football team. The energy and enthusiasm generated by the crowd can significantly impact the performance of the sports team and boost morale. By learning cheers, chants, and routines to pump up the crowd, participants develop focus, coordination, balance, and learn safe stunting techniques.

Registration for our program is open for children aged 6 to 14. To ensure timely delivery of uniforms and gear for the football season, registration will close June 1st. Following registration, there will be a meeting a week later to discuss the season, size uniforms, and address any necessary details. During the summer, participants wear coordinated shirts, shorts, and bows for the events they attend while waiting for their uniforms and gear to arrive. Practice sessions are tentatively scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00P to 6:30P. We kindly request that participants bring a water bottle, wear supportive shoes (no flip flops or sandals), have their hair pulled back from their face, and dress appropriately for the weather. For those who require it, we provide club-owned shell and skirt pieces to be used for the season, and we remind families that any unreturned items will result in replacement costs.

Our season kicks off at the end of June to prepare for the Fourth of July parade located in Concrete. During the summer, participants learn routines for Cheer at the Fair, which takes place in mid-August. In addition, participants attend football games throughout the season, which starts at the end of August and runs until October. At the end of the season, we learn a new routine for NCYFL Seasonal Cheer Expo, which takes place the weekend before Thanksgiving.

The number of squads we have is based on the number of football teams registered for the season. In the event of a single football team, we divide the squad into two groups and alternate their performance at games. If there are two different football teams, we will divide the cheerleading squad to follow each team. We will determine the number of squads and their respective locations at a later date, once we know how many football players have joined the league for the fall.

For the upcoming season, expect to travel north to Lummi, while the farthest south will be Everett.

This is for returning cheerleaders who want to purchase and keep uniform set and gear. Price includes shell, skirt, pom-poms, Under Armour shirt, kick shorts, cheer socks, seasonal bows, shoes, gear bag, practice shirt and shorts. 

This price is for new or returning cheerleaders who don't own CYSA Cheer shell, skirt, or essential gear. This price includes practice shirt and shorts, seasonal bows, Under Armour top, kick shorts, cheer socks, shoes, gear bag, and pom-poms. CYSA will loan the shell and skirt for the season.
